Brief CV 

Eleni Papouli is an Associate Professor of Social Work at the University of West Attica. She received her BSW degree from TEI of Athens, her MA (ICW) from the University of East Anglia (UK) and her PhD from the University of Sussex (UK). Prior to entering in academia, Eleni worked for several years as a social worker in the field of child protection in Greece and has been trained in the dramatherapy method. She has extensively teaching and research experience and in 2015, she was appointed as teaching fellow at the Munich University of Applied Sciences (MUAS). Eleni is an invited speaker and expert masterclass (ECSWE 2023, Porto/Matosinhos, Portugal) at the international scientific and educational conferences. She is author of various publications and reviewer of books, and articles in international scientific journals. She is the co-editor and author of the international collective volume “Creative Critical Pedagogies: Using Arts-Based Approaches for Online and In-Person Learning” (2024) (Cognella Publishers, California, USA). Eleni teaches theory and practice courses in both the BSW and MSW programs and runs the pedagogical project “Diversity Dolls» to promote respect for human diversity, as a value and attitude of life in professional and educational settings. Eleni Papouli is Scientifically Responsible of the two-year European Erasmus+ Project “On Stage in the Golden Age: Theatrefor Healthy Ageing”(2023-2025).
